Diggy Dex is the stage name of 44-year-old rapper, singer and songwriter Koen Jansen. In his accessible, narrative songs, he takes you on a musical journey. With hits like Treur Niet (Ode to Life), De Zon Op, Slaap Lekker and La Vie Est Belle, he toured the country with his energetic live band in recent years.
His breakthrough came with the album Waves (2016), followed by Karavaan and Carousel. In ten club and theatre tours, including three sold-out shows in Carré and AFAS Live, and at countless festivals, Diggy Dex managed to bring his audience along again and again. The Amersfoort-based artist stays true to his hip-hop heritage, but explores new musical paths with each album. He participated in Best Singers in 2020 and is part of The Streamers. He also regularly co-writes songs for the likes of Guus Meeuwis, André Hazes Jr., 3JS, Kinderen voor Kinderen, Miss Montreal and Suzan & Freek.
After a period of rest, his eighth studio album Tempo Giusto will be released in April 2025, followed by an album tour, and of course a stopover at the Zuiderpark Theatre could not be missed.
