Herman van Veen celebrates his 80th birthday at Zuiderparktheater

On Tuesday 20 August, we will celebrate something special: Herman van Veen turns 80 and comes to share it with us at the South Park Theatre. An exclusive open-air concert in an intimate setting - full of music, stories and wonder.

An evening of poetry, music and memories
Almost 60 years Herman van Veen has been on stage. Renowned worldwide for his unique mix of music, theatre and poetic reflections. From Carnegie Hall to Carré, from New York to Paris - and this summer just with us in The Hague.

At this birthday concert, Herman will present a personal and understated performance in which music and memory go hand in hand. And: you can contribute. Visitors can submit a song request in advance, a song they would like to hear live. This way, every performance will be slightly different, and maybe even a little bit yours.

Part of a special open-air tour

This concert is part of a series of open-air performances Herman van Veen is playing across the country this year. Each performance will have its own atmosphere and colour. And on 20 August, it will happen in the greenery of the Zuiderpark.
