A beautiful mosaic of flower bulbs will appear at the edge of the Zuiderpark next spring. Volunteers Bep and Ama from the Zuiderpark Theatre planted the first of 28,150 bulbs this morning. Designer Jan Guldemond used the contours of the Zuiderpark Theatre to form the 16-metre-diameter field. In spring, tulips and blue grapes will colour from Loevesteinlaan, corner Melis Stokelaan. The mosaic is part of the celebration of the open-air theatre's fifth anniversary. The theatre realised the colourful greeting in cooperation with Jub Holland and Gemeente Den Haag. It is currently unclear whether the Zuiderparktheater foundation will be able to run the theatre in 2021, but the flower bulbs add colour to the neighbourhood. Just like Zuiderparktheater has done with culture for the neighbourhood for the past five years!
