Het Zuiderpark Vakantiepark is na 6 weken van plezier bijna ten einde. Met de muzikale familievoorstelling Be Bach en een hilarische Brulrace is het zomerprogramma afgesloten. Zo’n 4500 bezoekers kwamen naar het eiland van het openluchttheater voor sport, spel, kunst en theater. In het Vakantiepark werd ook veel meegedaan aan de workshop Vakantiepost in samenwerking met de Vakantiepas. In totaal 350 Haagse ouderen die wonen in een Florence Zorginstelling kregen vakantiegroeten van kinderen. Een van de bewoners van Oostduin was erg blij met het krijgen van de post. Ze heeft zelfs de kaart nog verder ingekleurd om hem net wat mooier af te maken De voorstelling van Ernst en Bobbie bij Zuiderpark Live aanstaande zondag is nog een toegift op de vakantie.
"We welcomed substantially more visitors, some 1,500 more, than at the 1e edition in 2021. Truly from all districts, children from The Hague came for the holiday spirit. The sun shone almost every day this year and even during the heat wave, it was nice to be on our island. We worked together with many partners this year. Too many to mention them all, but the cooperation with Vakantiepas, Ooievaarspas, Theater Dakota and Bibliotheek Den Haag was very pleasant. We would like to thank them all for their efforts. And of course all our volunteers who enthusiastically made sure the Holiday Park could run," said Annemarie de Bruijn (programme) and Berend Dikkers (director).
Next year, there will definitely be another Holiday Park. On Prinsjesdag, there will be another special Holiday Park edition because all Hague schoolchildren are free that day. The kick-off in 2023 will be on Monday 10 July 2023 with the Holiday Pass together again.
