This summer, Latin in the Park takes you on a tour of South America. This summer's mini festivals are organised by Zuiderparktheater and Latin the Hague. The journey starts on Friday 7 July with a tribute to Colombian salsa. Colombia has a special role in the world of salsa. With live music by the Gerardo Rosales' Orchestra, a Salsa Caleña workshop by Mabeli Escobar and DJ Virgil El Gigante, it will be dancing outdoors until the late hours. Ticket sales have started via Zuiderparktheater.nl/Latin.
The first edition: Tributo a la Salsa Colombiana
Colombia is the birthplace of great international artists such as Grupo Niche, Fruko y sus Tesos and Joe Arroyo. "La Capital Mundial de la Salsa" Cali is the global capital of salsa. In addition, Salsa Caleña is a unique dance style that is considered a distinct style within the dance world. With a workshop by Mabeli, everyone will learn the intricacies of this dance style. The festival area will be complete with food trucks on the grounds, atmospheric seating areas and, of course, ice-cold drinks to cool down with.
