Kick-off Summer holidays with Steven Kazàn

Steven Kazàn is coming to the South Park Theatre! Come kick off the first day of your holiday, Monday 10 July, with this famous magician, Mayor Jan van Zanen and crazy workshops.
On the very first day of holidays, the VakantiePas and the Zuiderparktheater join forces with a great kick-off to your summer holidays! At 11.00 a.m., the theatre isle opens and you can enjoy everything the Zuiderpark Holiday park has to offer you throughout the summer. There will also be workshops as well as small performances by Repair Kid, Rhubarb and Beweigi, among others. And don't miss the World Walker! Tell her where all around the world you have been or would like to go. You'll recognise her by the really big globe she walks on. Really? Yes really!

At 2pm is the big Summer Holiday Opening with the one and only Mayor of The Hague, Jan van Zanen. He will be assisted by Mrwan and Drishti of The Hague Council of Children. Then the one and only Steven Kazàn takes to the stage. You may know the magician from various TV programmes or perhaps his magical online videos. He brings a unique show for the whole family. An afternoon full of humour, interaction... and of course lots of magic! The afternoon will be complete with a real Meet & Greet afterwards. Take a picture with Steven or get an autograph on your free photo card. Don't miss it! After today, the holidays have officially begun!

Performances in the Holiday Park

On Wednesday afternoons, there are, of course, fun performances for young and old again. Come shuffle along at Grrr...oen's Silent Disco Theatre on Wednesday 12 July. Sing along at the children's concert by MeneerTjes SlodDe & VoS on Wednesday 19 July. Be enchanted at the magical show full of magic tricks by The Magic Cupboard on Wednesday 2 August. Or don't you find sitting in the stands so exciting? Then you can also come to the Full Garbage Cart (pictured above) on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 July. Get into a rubbish truck to see the performance. The stunning trapeze show It Happens... on Wednesday 9 August is definitely not to be missed if you love circus. The final performance on Wednesday 16 August remains a surprise for now but is, of course, a spectacle to pop off your holiday with.

Super Moon lands on our island for six weeks

"I was searching fiercely, about three years old. When mum asked what I was looking for, I replied, "the moon!" I saw that above the trees at night, so during the day it had to be resting somewhere on the ground of the Zuiderpark!" Donata tells at a Park Full of Stories. Zuiderpark Foundation collected memories as the park celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. With Rewire and Grofweg Architects, we are creating a musical ode at the Zuiderpark Theatre this summer together with all visitors. Creep into the moon as a magical place to tell your own story about the park. We record sounds, memories and stories. Rewire composes this into a real piece of music. On Prinsjesdag it will be finished and we will give it to the park together with all the children in a grand musical parade.

Snowstorm in summer

Ever been caught in a blizzard? You can on Tuesday 8 to Thursday 10 August. In the art installation White Noise, you step into a white tunnel: you surrender to the wind and move forward. A storm brews up. The noise takes over everything and you become one with the chaos. A storm you never forget.

Finders & circus with the Stork Pass

In cooperation with the Stork Pass, we also present you with great programme elements this summer. Be enchanted by the beautiful art installation Nectar. The bright blue butterflies create a true dream flight on the island. The circus performance IT HAPPENS... is also great to come and see. This solo act with a trapeze is a wonderful combination between movement theory and theatre. Artist Júlia seeks the contrasts between success and failure, beauty and shame, calm and frustration. Good to know: Stork Pass holders also always get free coffee, tea, lemonade or ice cream in the Holiday Park.
