The Hague Beat Festival returns with its 6th edition at Zuiderparktheater. A typical Haag
tribute to the Hague Heroes who put The Hague on the map nationally and internationally in the history of pop music. This year's edition will take place on Sunday 11 August 2024. Featuring Rinus Gerritsen, Cesar Zuiderwijk, Mell VF (Vintage Future), Erwin Java's Travel Party ft. Erwin Nyhoff, Erik Mesie and many others! Like last year, the organisation will hold an auction of artworks and rock memorabilia, with all proceeds going to the ALS Netherlands Foundation.

First names in programming announced
The organisers are super happy to present the first artists: our heroes from the sixties, mixed with the younger guard as well as many surprises, such as the grand final band with well-known guest singers and surprise guests: Rinus Gerritsen, Cesar Zuiderwijk, Mell VF (Vintage Future), Erwin Java's Travel Party ft. Erwin Nyhoff, Erik Mesie (Toontje Lager), Sean Webster, Emmaly Brown, MOOON and, of course, the final band Rocktown Buddies & The Delta Ladies led by Peter Langerak. More surprise artists will be announced in the run-up to the festival!

Talent in the Park
Much that had to do with Dutch Rock 'n Roll used to happen in Escamp district. Legendary bands such as The Golden Earrings (later Golden Earring), Shockin Blue and The Motions emerged from bands rehearsing in the cellars. The Haags Beat Festival wants to emphasise this fact by collaborating with music and band coaching school Ready to Play and the Zuiderparktheater on the 'Talent in the Park' project, born out of the seeds of Escamp: at the Haags Beat Festival, the old heroes will be honoured, while Talent in the Park will act as a breeding ground for new heroes from The Hague. A selection of this new talent project will be given a stage during the Haags Beat Festival.

Anecdotes
Artists and individuals from the Beat Generation will again share wonderful anecdotes, fed by presenter Fred Zuiderwijk. And of course Jaap and Jacqueline Schut of the Treasury of Dutch Pop Music, Museum RockArt, will be there again. With delicious catering included, the organisation will make the party complete: eating, drinking, chatting, meet & greet, dancing and, above all, enjoying great music together!
