Join us for an intimate Freedom Meal in the park on Liberation Day. Special encounters will take place all over the Netherlands on Sunday 5 May 2024. This year also on our theatre island!

**What are Freedom Meals? **
Freedom Meals are organised all over the country on 5 May. Small, large, with local delicacies or culinary delights. The meals come in all shapes and sizes. The Freedom Meal is a special meeting at the dinner table, where guests talk about freedom and unfreedom: themes you don't think about every day and which are eminently worthy of attention on Liberation Day. Especially in The Hague as a city!

Zuiderparktheater is happy to join this new Hague tradition. We therefore open our season with an intimate Freedom Meal. A nice moment when all staff, partners and audience can meet or get to know each other again after a long winter at the table.

While enjoying 'Grandma's Tomato Soup with an Asian Touch' to the recipe of chef Nick Toet (Pies of Babel and Youtube channel EtenMetNick), you can interact with each other. We will guide you through the programme from 12.00 to 14.00 with music and words. Of course, we look ahead to upcoming season. A season brimming with celebrations that we can celebrate in freedom.
