Songwriter Birdy at Zuiderpark Live

We knew Birdy as the demure girl who soon reached star status with her first single. 'Skinny Love' was frequently played by almost every Dutch radio station. From the same album, 2011's 'Birdy', came the single 'People Help The People' whose proceeds went to 3FM's Serious Request that year. With more than 11 million monthly listeners, the now-adult Birdy is still successful today.

Her most recent album 'Portraits' marks a new direction with a confident leap into the unknown. The album has amassed 21 million streams worldwide and achieved a top 20 position in the UK charts. Her timeless writing style is now infused with a fresh, exuberant wave of energy. Her new work is about the agonies of a true artist trying her best to find the light.

About Zuiderpark Live

This is the fourth year in a row that concert organiser Greenhouse Talent and the Zuiderparktheater foundation have joined forces for a series of atmospheric summer evening concerts in the open-air theatre, The Hague. The Zuiderparktheater on the outskirts of The Hague is set in beautiful wooded surroundings where visitors can enjoy musical highlights in an intimate setting.

Belgian band BLUAI has three members, and they make enchanting indie-folk full of collaborative vocals. Before releasing their debut album, the band has already won three major Belgian music awards: De Nieuwe Lichting (from Studio Brussel), Humo's Rock Rally and Soundtrack. Save It For Later contains beautiful intimate moments like the song 'Teeth' but also upbeat catchy songs like 'Worms'.
