Glen Hansard grew up in a working-class family in Dublin in the 1970s. At 13, he left school to become a musician. He played on the streets of Dublin where he laid the foundations for his unique sound. In the early 1990s, Hansard formed the Irish folk band The Frames. Glen Hansard has released several solo albums over the years, including "Rhythm and Repose" (2012) and "Between Two Shores" (2018).His music is characterised by his introspective lyrics, acoustic arrangements and his ability to create emotional depth in his songs. With hits such as "Falling Slowly" and "Say It to Me Now", he has built an impressive musical career and won a loyal fan base.Besides music, Hansard is also known for his role in the film Once, for which he co-produced the soundtrack with Czech singer-songwriter Markéta Irglová. For this, the duo won the Academy Award for Best Original Song with the song Falling Slowly. The collaboration for Once resulted in the musical duo The Swell Season. Hansard has become a live performer not to be missed. His show offers a communal experience that asks audiences to follow him in a spirit of openness, ingenuity and experimentation.

This is the fourth year in a row that concert organiser Greenhouse Talent and the Zuiderparktheater foundation have joined forces for a series of atmospheric summer evening concerts in the open-air theatre, The Hague. The Zuiderparktheater on the outskirts of The Hague is set in beautiful wooded surroundings where visitors can enjoy musical highlights in an intimate setting.
