Holiday orchestra Ad Hoc is touring the Netherlands this summer. During the summer tour, they will also visit the Zuiderpark Theatre. The 50-piece wind orchestra led by Txemi Etxebarria will perform at Tuesday 3 August at 5 p.m. play. This is special because usually they are abroad. Be surprised by a diverse programme with works by Mussorgsky, Shostakovich, Navarro and Jasper Staps. Jesse Passenier will perform a work specially composed for this tour and Jules Baeten will give a solo performance.
What do singers Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Billy Holiday and Nina Simone have in common? They are legendary women of a cinematic music era. A week later on Tuesday 10 August at 5 p.m. brings the small big band Round Midnight Orchestra an enchanting jazz concert as an ode to the Grand Ladies of Swing. Imagine yourself in New York's most famous nightclub, "The Cotton Club".
There is free admission, but full = full so come on time.
