On Sunday 9 August 2020, the very first MUSICAL SUMMER CONCERT will take place at the open-air Zuiderparktheater in The Hague. The cast consists of talents who have more than earned their spurs in various musicals in recent years: Esmee Dekker, Nienke Latten, Elindo Avastia, David van den Tempel and musical director Billy Maluw. Ticket sales for the two performances (at 3pm and 7pm) of the MUSICAL SUMMER CONCERT started today via this website.
Esmee Dekker, starred as Eliza Doolittle in the most recent revival of My Fair Lady and featured in the David Bowie musical Lazarus and if the mistress in Evita. Nienke Latten played the role of Jasmine in the Disney musical Aladdin in Stuttgart and featured in the Netherlands, among others, in the Efteling musical Puss in Boots. Elindo Avastia featured in the ABBA musical Mamma Mia! and Kinky Boots. David van den Tempel featured in musicals such as Soldier of Orange, The Full Monty, The Big Three and Vietnam. Musical director Billy Maluw was featured as a singer/songwriter in, among others, The Voice of Holland and is a sought-after accompanist for musical stars such as Pia Douwes, Stanley Burleson and many others.
The MUSICAL SUMMER CONCERT guarantees an hour and a half of enjoyment of the finest musical hits. Hits from the artists' careers will not be missing from the concert. But not only the famous classics from shows such as Les Misérables and Wicked are featured, new hit musicals and off-Broadway productions are also part of this musical programme.

This show, where the best musical numbers pass by, sounds to me like enjoying live music and singing, dreaming away, dancing and extra appreciating what we have missed so much in the past months.
MUSICAL SUMMER CONCERT is produced by 19-year-old Nathan Markuszower, which immediately makes him the youngest theatre producer in the Netherlands. "In recent months, theatres around the world have remained empty. The beautiful open-air Zuiderparktheater in The Hague offers these top talents a wonderful place to do again what they love most: stand on stage and sing. In addition, I am extremely looking forward to taking my first big step as a theatre producer with this show."
