Extra edition Holiday Park on Prince's Day at Zuiderpark Theatre: 'We're going to look after the little ones'

Every year on the third Tuesday in September, it is an important day in The Hague. It is Prinsjesdag! This year it is on Tuesday 20 September. That means all schoolchildren in The Hague have the day off. On our island, we celebrate this extra day off with Prinsjesdag in the park! As in the summer holidays, we will "look after the little ones". In cooperation with the Stork Pass, we are rigging up the Holiday Park one more time this year and invite you to a free programme for all young people up to 18 years old. In the morning, little ones up to 12 years are welcome and in the afternoon our island is for 12+. There will be an extensive programme of workshops, a performance by Who Whale and performances by the talents of Ready2Play.

"In the city, the king, queen and Princess Amalia ride in the glass carriage to the Royal Theatre. The king reads the speech from the throne. Important people come in their finest clothes and hats to listen. The finance minister brings a briefcase with the plans for taxpayers' money to the Lower House. But for most families in the city, it is another day off. With this programme, together with the Ooievaarspas, we give that a fun interpretation," said Annemarie de Bruijn (programme) and Berend Dikkers (director).
