South Park Theatre opens gate again for season opener: new names: A Mile in My Shoes, Clouseau, Holiday Pass Kick-off party

Sunday 1 May marks the season opening of the Zuiderparktheater. On that day, 150 volunteers from The Hague South-West will come to the theatre for a reunion, workshops and performances. On Friday 6 May, the Edwin Evers Band will be guests with an 80s programme for a sold-out audience. New names continue to be added to the summer schedule. Including the art installation A Mile in My Shoes with Winternachten and the Belgian brothers Clouseau. In the summer holidays, the Holiday Park erupts.

NEW TO THE PROGRAMME
IN OTHER PEOPLE'S SHOES
Winternachten succeeded in A Mile in My Shoes, bringing an interactive art project by British artist Clare Patey to The Hague, where visitors can literally stand in someone else's shoes and hear someone's story during a short walk. For Winternachten, stories from The Hague were added to the 'shoebox'. A Mile in My Shoes is free to visit on Spuiplein from Thursday 9 June and from 22 June the 'shoebox' moves to the Zuiderparktheater. Here, the installation can be visited every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday until 17 July.

CLOUSEAU AT ZUIDERPARK LIVE
The big breakthrough for Clouseau, consisting of brothers Koen and Kris Wauters, occurred in 1989 thanks to singles such as 'Anne' and 'Daar Gaat Ze'. Debut album 'Hoezo' was released and the Netherlands went wild. The band takes part in the Eurosong Festival in Rome and "Clouseaumania" is a fact. Since then, Clouseau has been working hard, resulting in twelve Dutch-language top albums and an almost endless stream of hits. On Thursday 18 August, they are coming to Zuiderpark Live!

HOLIDAY PARK OPENING
Zuiderparktheater and the VakantiePas Foundation kick off the summer holidays with a party on Monday 11 July 2022 at 3pm! With the VakantiePas, some 55,000 children from The Hague can enjoy music, culture, sports and games in and around the city. The ultimate holiday feeling! Some 80 activity providers from all over The Hague and its surroundings are participating. The Zuiderparktheater will again present a six-week Holiday Park programme on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The group DrumDrumDrum will provide a banging opening with BANWAKABOOM. There will be opportunities to play on the grounds beforehand, followed by a children's disco with Funky Fran.

The entire programme known so far can be found at zuiderparktheater.nl/agenda. New events are still being added to the programme.
