Zuiderpark Theatre brings colourful salute to Escamp

The flower bulb mosaic of the South Park Theatre is blooming. The 16-metre diameter flower bed on Loevestein Avenue is a colourful salute to the neighbourhood. The flowers pattern the characteristic canopy of the open-air theatre. The centre reads '5 YEARS', as the anniversary was celebrated last September. For the mosaic, 28,150 bulbs were planned according to a design by Jan Guldemond. With JUB Holland and the green company of the Municipality of The Hague, this could be realised.

Next summer, the theatre will reopen. The programme on Fridays and Saturdays will consist of concerts and cabaret performances by well-known artists, programmed through the renowned events agency Greenhouse Talent. There will also be an extensive holiday programme for and by the neighbourhood during the summer holidays. The agenda will be announced in mid-May.

The café in the theatre has been open since today for takeaway drinks and homemade cake. Maintenance work is also underway on the stands, dressing rooms, a new bar container and pruning work.
