South Park Theatre kicks off vibrant summer programme!

"We are going to play in The Hague's backyard again!"

The summer programme of the Hague open-air theatre is complete. The summer agenda is packed with a record number of productions. So from 12 May onwards, there will again be plenty to do on the theatre island in the Zuiderpark. Dozens of well-known artists from home and abroad will make their appearance at Zuiderpark Live from May to the end of September. And there is more! New on the summer agenda is Mama Africa in the Park In partnership with Litt Events. Several more new collaborations are in the pipeline. In addition, there will be four new editions of Jazz in the Park and three editions of Latin in the Park  


Zuiderpark Live previously announced names of 19 shows. International acts such as Venice, Curtis Harding and Paul Carrack, as well as homegrown Snelle, MEAU, Miss Montreal and Ruth Jacott. Previous guest programmers return this year. Jazz in the Park with Michael Varekamp & Wiboud Burkens (aka The Legends) is scheduled four times this year. From Soul to Miles, the broad spectrum of jazz will be highlighted. Latin in the Park organised with Latin The Hague returns to the agenda three times, each time with a changing theme and live band. The Hague Beat Festival with well-known rockers of yesteryear will return this summer for the 5th time.e edition down.


The Zuiderpark Theatre is located in the middle of the Zuiderpark. The park is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. On Tuesday 5 July, there will therefore be a special Tasty Story Parade in cooperation with Haags Verhaal and the Participation Kitchen. At the beginning of September, a second evening will commemorate 150 years of ending slavery. With Minimahulp070 and Repair Café, there will be an accessible Summer Café XL. For children from The Hague, there will also be weeks of Holiday Park in the main holidays and in September until Budget Day, with a festive kick-off with the Holiday Pass on Monday 10 July.
